Hostels in Noosa

 

Noosa is the home to the low keyed Australian beach holiday. Australians, who dislike the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast, holiday in Noosa. It is also the holiday destination of the rich and that is why there are not so many hostels in Noosa. There is very little land available and most developers would rather build a resort than and backpacking hostel. I suppose there are 2 different areas to Noosa but they are really not that far from each other. You have the beach and the fancy restaurant area and then you have the main street which has all the shops, travel agents, and super markets but they are really not that far away from each other.

 

Halse Lodge – corner of Noosa Parade and Noosa Drive - 5447 3377- the hostel looks like the typical old Queenslander home – first class hostel – very clean – very well positioned right near the beach and the restaurant area – great atmosphere with a excellent chill out bar and very affordable kitchen cooked meals – unfortunately this hostel can not be book through this web sites hostel booking tool but we believe because of the location, this hostel is probably the best hostel in Noosa.

Koala Backpackers – 44 Noosa Drive – A great hostel for meeting other backpackers from all over the world – swimming pool – kitchen facilities – lively bar – this hostel is situated right next to Noosa main street which has all the travel agents, nightclubs, supermarkets but is a little walk (15mins) from the beach and restaurants on the water. A good, fun hostel.
