Trains to the Gold Coast

Trains run from Nerang train Station on the Gold Coast to both Roma ST and Central station in the centre of Brisbane. The train then also runs onto Brisbane International and Domestic Airport. To get to Nerang Train Station is very easy. Just catch the Local 745 bus from out the front of the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre.

Transit Centre – Nerang Train Station costs $2.50

Nerang Train Station – Brisbane Central cost $8.90

Nerang Train Station – Brisbane Airport costs $24

Buses and trains work in together with the first bus leaving the Transit Centre at 4.48am and the last bus departs at 10.54pm. They work in tandem with each other every 30mins.

Due to a difference in the gauge of the railway between New South Wales and Queensland there are no Interstate direct rail links to the Gold Coast. Trains depart daily from Sydney and terminate at Murwillumbah (around 30 mins south of Coolangatta). You can also catch a bus to Casino in NSW and then catch the train to Sydney.
