 Surfers Paradise
Gold Coast City is renowned for its sunny subtropical climate, popular surfing beaches, expansive waterway and canal systems, a skyline dominated by high-rise apartment buildings, active nightlife and wide variety of tourist attractions. The Gold Coast is situated in the southeast corner of Queensland, a one hours drive from Brisbane, which is the state capital. Surfers Paradise is a suburb and also the heart of the Gold Coast. Commonly known as Surfers, the suburb is famous for its many high-rise apartment buildings and wide surf beach. The central feature of the Surfers Paradise CBD is Cavill Mall, which runs through the centre of the main shopping precinct. The Gold Coast hosts 78 000 tourist everyday, making it Queensland number one holiday destination.
