Another way to keep in touch with home is by using a very popular program these days called Skype. Skype is free. It is like a telephone call but it uses the internet instead. All you do is go to a computer and go to www.skype.com and register a Skype name and get your parents to do the same. Then just log on to Skype, then be on line and on the internet at the same time as your mum and dad and talk for free. Really it is so easy.

You also need a microphone to be connected to the computer and speakers/headphones, so you can talk from both ends. You can have a web camera set up also so you can see each other if you want. Most internet café in the world these day have Skype already set up and ready for you just to log on.

Skype work best on ADSL internet connection. MSN, Google and Yahoo all have this facilities also but Skype has the best quality.
