Trains in BrisbaneThere are 3 major train stations situated in Brisbane. Central and Roma Street transit centre are both situated in the city centre. Central station would be the closest to the city centre and shopping area and Roma Street is Brisbane’s transit centre where all the buses depart also.
Brunswick Street is the train stop for Fortitude Valley. It is the stop before Central station from the airport or the north side of Brisbane. The Valley is the new hip spot of Brisbane with all the best night life and restaurants.
Trains run to the Gold Coast from Brisbane twice an hour. The train actually runs to Nerang Station and from there, you will have a connecting local bus to take you to the Surfers Paradise Transit Centre. It is very easy and very convenient. Costs $8.90
Trains also run to the Sunshine Coast. Catch the train to Nambour Train Station and then Connect with a local bus. Cost about $12.40(Maroochydore, Mooloolaba) to $17.40 (Noosa) depending on how far north up the coast you are traveling.
