Mount Cootha

 

The mountain is surrounded by the 220 hectare Mt Cootha reserve which is an oasis of natural bush land and native wildlife. Mount Cootha offers panoramic views over the city of Brisbane but it it highly recommended to catch the mountain views also at night. Mount Cootha is about 7km from the City Centre and buses run there every 30 minutes during the day. Also worth a look in this area is the Botanical Gardens and the Planetarium. Brisbane’s four free to air TV stations are also located on Mt Cootha.
